Round window room with a view of the Nemu no Ki

Futari-Shizuka Room

This is a special room of the hotel, which has passed the century and still heals and soothes the hearts of visitors.
This is a room where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in a bathtub made of ancient Japanese cypress while feeling the quiet flow of time. The sunlight streaming in through the round windows softly envelops us after the daily hustle and bustle.

“I remember walking through the streets of Korin-mother’s town, and I wonder if the flowers are still red with joy.”
Fumiko Hayashi was a novelist who wrote from the Meiji to Showa periods with a poetic style. This song of Nemu no Hana was left in this room by her while she was writing at the museum. Through the round window that matches the front cover, you can still see the Nemu no Hana tree that she admired.
This tranquil environment supported the creative activities of many writers and artists, and the abundance of nature in Kanbayashi provided the impetus for inspiration.
From the guest rooms, where the sun shimmers faintly through the trees, one can still hear the sound of the brush strokes of literary figures.
